The BEST werewolf movie out there..and one of the alltime best horror movies. The makeup effects were fantastic. The movie was a great mix of coemdy and horror. Very witty,some camp,sharp sense of humor, and great thrills. The handsome David Naughton was terrific in the role. Lovely Jenny Agutter delivered a fine performance..and her last scene chokes me up sometimes.The werewolf transformation scene is outstanding.

One of the best transformation scenes ever on film. I really enjoy this one, but I'm on the fence about this being the best werewolf film ever(I really like the original Howling, as well). Nevertheless, it is one of my favorites and gets frequent play at my house.

AWIL is ok but it's really a dark comedic romance more than anything. I much prefer the bipedal werewolves in the Howling, and the Howling is my favorite werewolf flick.

I much prefer 'London' over The Howling. That said, I love The Howling. The only thing that bums me out each and every time I watch The Howling is the sniffling were-ewok at the end. Always feels like the rug has been pulled out, and I know it's coming. Other than that, I love it.

AWIL is without a doubt a classic movie,regardless of what people think of it.It will always remain one of my favourite movies and has one of the best transformation scenes in the history of cinema.you gotta give it to Rick baker for coming up with that shit.That scene OWNS.

An American Werewolf In London is a great film, I like it alot, but as far as werewolf movies goes, The Howling is a winner. My next tattoo will most likely be from The Howling

Does that matter when it comes to which is the better film? + The transformation in The Howling was alot more scary and messed up. The odd movement of the fingers always get me.

Not saying that I didn't like the one in AWIL.
