Looking to invest in a Camcorder

So far I have it down to three I'm interested in.
    1.Canon XH-A1
    2.Canon XL-2
    3.Sony HDR-FX7

Which one would you recommend? Also, are there any others I should look at?

    Thanks

Wow dude, those 3 cameras right there I also am thinking about getting when I the money for them lol.
I recommend the XL-2. Never used one or anything, but seen videos of it, and it interest me a lot. The other 2 are good also, but I am just fond of the XL-2 more.

BUT, there are other cameras out there instead of those that are good to use and cheaper than those also.

What I have my eye on that is in my price range that I want to get if I can get a job is the Canon HV20. The HV30 is the newest and HV40 is coming out soon, but the HV20 is very good, even though it is an past model, it is still great to use (and cheap also, maybe 400-700 bucks from what I remember).

    There is also:

    Canon GL2
Canon HV30 (if you like going for the newer models)
    Panasonic AG-DVX100b, 100a, or just 100
Canon HV40 (when it comes out, forgot when)
    JVC Everio GZ-HD7

And that's what I have in mind, you already named 3 I want also lol but I need a job first and pretty sure when I have that job I'm going for the Canon HV20.

I would honestly say if you are thinking abut spending that much cash, buy a DVX
    http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-AG-D...3243346&sr=1-3
Better bang for you buck. The XL's/GL's are dinosaurs these days. DVX still has life in it's veins. Cheaper, better, and a MiniDV standard. Or just save up for a good HD, solid state camera. DV is a pain and wont last too much longer.

    Just my two cents.

Also I owned the GL1, GL2, and XL1 back in the day, had a ball, great camera's and whenever I see someone rock the GL1 I get sentimental feelings. I've upgraded to a HVX these days, just gotta get a lens adapter and I'll be laughing.
