Producer Brad Fuller gave STYD an update on the status of the sequel to this year's Friday the 13th remake, where he revealed that the script is still being worked on and the project hasn't officially been greenlit yet. He's hoping that if things go well that production will begin towards the end of the year, with an August 13, 2010 theatrical release.
Fuller details that he wants to present new material to the franchise, like possibly having Jason slashing his victims in the snow, as opposed to the normally clear-skied campsite. He also wants to make the kills more unique this time 'round. It's also unlikely that the next venture will be in 3D unless it's given a bigger budget, which seems unlikely.
