Pretty sweet badgonegood. I liked the editing in the trailer quite a bit, also the color timing adds a lot to the atmosphere. Did you just do a trailer or can we expect a short film soon?
Also, choptop, sounds like you are busy. How's school been? Look forward to seeing more of your work.

^ Thanks. Its just a trailer. The full trailer will be up soon after I finish filming next week. Just a little something I wanted to do for Halloween. I'm glad someone liked it.

Pre pro has started. The art director and I worked out a floor plan for the set and I just finished a white foamcore scale model of the set. Awesome thing about this script is it only has one location! Real time saver.
Here are some mock ups of how I plan to paint the skins.

Still working on getting back in the studio to edit HACKSAW. After that I'm working full time on a teaser trailer for a film me and a friend are writing called FAIR MAIDEN. Here is a synopsis (as well as some of the actors we are thinking about for roles because... well to put it bluntly, we have a really nice budget this time!).
Susan (Asia Argento/Shawnee Smith) is one of the leading psychologists in the country. She recently agreed to take part in a Documentary about her body of work. A film crew would follow her around to visit one of her first patients, Alice (Amber Heard/Danielle Harris). When Alice was young, she witnessed the death of her mother. For years Susan had attempted to find out what exactly she saw but alas, she could never get a straight answer out of Alice. That was nearly ten years ago. Susan and Alice are close friends. Alice has grown into a healthy young woman, so much so that she has chosen to move back into her childhood home; the scene of the trauma.
Susan's mother's health had been on a steady decline over the years. She was unable to live on her own, let alone speak. She spends her days in her room watching day time television. Susan feels uneasy leaving her mother alone during the filming of documentary so she brings her along. The first night away from their home, it burns to the ground, leaving them homeless. When Alice gets word of this, she tells Susan that the two of them can stay at her house until they can claim insurance.
When they arrive at the house, something is already out of place. The house is a three story estate in the middle of the woods, yet there is only access to the bottom floor. As the nights go on, strange things start to happen, Susan begins having the same nightmare every night, she begins finding her mother staring at the same spot in the ceiling every morning, and late every night, footsteps can be heard clearly on the upper floors. What is going on in this strange house? And why is Alice suddenly acting very strange? Could it be linked to the trauma from her past?
For one moment, I wish you would hold your stage with no feeling at all...

At this state I'll be showing it to a few trusted friends and such for further comments to be sure it's the final cut, after that I'm gonna send it to a few people who wants to review it, and finally after that try to get it released somehow. DVD-Rs probably.

One more day of shooting left for the Diamond of Kohinoor. I think it will be a fun movie. It's a throw back to golden age hollywood, the directors and talent are nailing that feel.
As Production Designer during the shoot my job consist of sitting at a monitor, making sure the director and myself are happy with the frame, then tweak the frame to add or subtract props/dressing.
For those curious we're shooting on an ARRI SR3 16mm camera w/ Kodak 250 iso Tungsten.
Since "Raging Bolts" I've been hiding Rock'em Sock'em robots somewhere on the set.
Cat asked how long it took to build. 2 weeks of planning and 2 weeks actual construction, and then I kept working on set decoration and props up to the shooting day.
