i tried a microsoft mouse once, was disapointed and never quite got the "feel" for it and the freaking thing kept losing connection and dying on me having to reconnect it...i dont think i'll ever go wireless or stray from logitech again

I dont know about "best" but they are reliable products at great prices. You can probably get a better mouse but you'll likely spend twice as much

That MOBO has a sick audio setup why go with the Sounds Blaster?

I did have 1 on board sounds card go on me, but I'd give it a shot before I'd plunk down the $$ for a sound Blaster...unless you do some kind of audio production, then I can see the need for a high quality sound card

I already purchased a blu-ray drive for my current machine although my monitor doesn't support hdmi, which I found out after purchasing it . And the OS I am going for is Windows 7 Ultimate. Although, I have not done much research with the different flavors of Windows 7

Don't fret about the HDMI, DVI can give you the exact same video quality...just stay away from VGA.
As for Windows 7...no idea bro, havent even used it myself.

windows 7 is much better than vista than every way, i've had very, very few problems with it, so i'd certainly recommend it

I'd advise getting Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, which is what I've been using. Ultimate really isn't necessary for regular users like ourselves

I heard there were a lot of problems getting a 64 bit OS. For example, some programs are not compatible with it, but that's just from what I heard from Windows Professional 64 bit.
