Rating for Sorority Row and Weinstiens on American Werewolf In London

Well here is the rating for Sorority Row:

Rated R for strong bloody violence, language, some sexuality/nudity and partying.

Where's the gore????

Other than that, I just happen to see an article about the Weinsteins planning to remake "An American Werewolf In London".

My thoughts: I think that they are the right guys for this. Having produced some of the funnest horror and non-horror movies in cinema: Kill Bill V1 and V2, Grindhouse, The Faculty, The Scream Trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and many many more. They've had some bad, but it doesn't outweigh the good. Not only that, but I would like a remake after that mediocre 90's remake we got entitle "An American Werewolf In Paris".

But who would make a good director?

Its been confirmed by Variety that Dimension films will be handling the remake of AWIL. It will be produced by the Furst bros. who produced Daybreakers.

So...Sorority Row is a remake? I wasn't aware of it until I saw a trailer and I haven't seen House On Sorority Row. Was it so similar to the I Know What You Did Last summer plot in the original, or did they flip it around like with Prom Night?

From what I've read (admittedly not much), isn't the AWIL plan to release more films with the "An American Werewolf in" prefix but not have them be remakes, but unrelated films in the series?
