actually I'd take 2000s hollywood horror over 90s horror any day of the week, while the 2000s havent been as good as the 70s or 80s they are a step above the 90s for sure

It seems that the problem is that you're not opening yourself to more Foreign or Indie horror, which is where all the gems are now-a-days. Looking too much into the crap that comes out mainstream Hollywood will get you nowhere

you r correct, unfortunately I don't have the best access to indie films, and the last foreign film I saw was "The Orphanage" which I actually liked.

I have yet to really enjoy anything from the past 10 years, yes I've seen a lot in theatres but nothing was worth buying IMO. And whats with everything being PG-13 recently, I want blood and Gore

one of the best slashers i've seen from the last 10 years is my bloody valentine 3d, go check that out plenty of boobs, blood, and gore. all things that were missing from 90s slashers

I loved all three movies.

Midnight Meat Train was extremely interesting (big Vinnie Jones fan). The story was great and it made me want to read the short story (however I havn't yet)

The Rise of Leslie Vernon was extremely different then anything I have watched and it was a real treat having a movie mock it's own genre.

Hatchet..just an instant classic. Mocking the slasher genre was a blast. Having good looking chicks, great killing scenes, and a lame ass story, made this movie fantastic imo. Cannot wait for Hatchet II
