Regardless of what it is, it's an abomination and a complete slap in the face to the original film. I hate, hate, HATE these fucking cash-in remakes.
Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him.
Spoiler...NO ONE can.

LOL...not in the least bit. Let the Right One In is such a beautifully shot and terrific film. I just hate to see it get overlooked because of this stupid cash-in remake. Good thing the original got such great DVD/Blu-ray treatment. No one seems to even notice (or care) that [REC] finally came out in the states today.

There a lot of fads now that intrude movies these days a lot:
1. Remakes
2. Reboots
3. Toy Line adaptions are starting to rise up
4. Unnecessary sequels that don't need continuations for that specific movie
5. Unnecessary prequels that make the movie out of place and just leave the mystery of the movies a waste
6. Reimagines (Don't know if they still use that term or unless they just use the term Reboot now for the replace of Reimagines)
7. Comic book adaptions (lose the fun of the comic when they turn the unrealistic aspect of the universe into a realistic/dark movie since people want them to be like the new Batman movies now)
8. Video game adaptions (Can't believe they bullshit video game adaptions so badly)
9. Book adaptions (There are those that are good, but some are not thought out well, can see that they didn't sit down and read the book)
10. And finally, the launch of studios remaking newly made movies and holding back the original movie until the remake is made (looking at you Dreamworks and holding back Paranormal Activity).
Well, even though #10 is just something that has always bothered me since I heard what Dreamworks did, were gonna be getting a lot of what we see now for a long time until they start adapting cookbooks into movies from running out of material
Even each category is 50/50 on whether the movie can be good, bad, ok, great, perfect, or whatever rating scale you use, it seems like original ideas are a thing in the past now (for Hollywood mostly, independent made films you can find new (well, refreshing), creative ideas most of the time).

Hhmm... I'm still finishing up the book, then I am going to watch the original film. And like everyone else I'm a bit disappointed that this was just scooped up and transformed into quick mainstream project. The story in itself is so unique, and as I read every word I can envision each scene as it happens piece by piece, it's beautiful! It's everything that Twilight is banned to be *lmao*. To be honest, if that sheet is any inkling as to what the 2 main characters look like... they are waaaayyy off!!!! Read the freakin' book *lol*!
Is this really a Hammer film though? Because that actually would be quite fitting for this story.

That's how I roll. Always tend to ramble about something that doesn't go with the poster's original intent
But I was going off someone in here who was talking about not liking cash-ins, so that's why I had to ramble.
But to go with the original post, I don't know how you can remake an adaption of the original movie that was an adaption of the book. Re-adaption? That would be incredibly dumb.
But I read that the producers are just adapting from the book a lot and not the original movie. But I have a weird feeling we will see ideas of the original in the American adaption and not from the book adaption. Hope I made sense.

I hope they don't make a remake as the original film is a fantastic movie.

I believe a remake was announced before the original even came out in its home country
