Cool, but why a prequel? I usually don't like prequels (Although i did enjoy rise of the lycans) because we already know the background. I will need to see more about the premise and perhaps some teasers. Not that i won't watch it. I'm an alien fan. 1 was the best, 2 was just awsome, 3 was crap with a few good moments, and res was ok - better than 3 anyway.

I don't see what Sigourney would have to do with a prequel unless she's narrating it. Ideally I would love Scott to do a fifth sequel where "Res." left off cause you just know there's something lurking on the remains of Earth. Imagine what he could do...

Finally, two good decisions on a sequel (prequel) concept: Bring back Ridley Scott and get away from the idea that Sigourney Weaver is a must-have.

I think they should put it to bed. So many great franchises have been milked to death, and after Alien 3, 4, AVP1 &2 I think we're clutching at straws thinking they'll deliver something cool. I hope I'm wrong but name me one prequel that's made you shout from the roof tops.

I'm not a big prequel fan, mostly because you normally already have too much insight into the storyline.
However i did enjoy the underworld prequel. That was pretty well done.

its now gonna be in 3D (suprise suprise). I personally can't wait to see an alien jump out in 3D! Those lil mouths coming out of...well their mouths would be wicked in 3D. I'd atleast get a laugh out of it.

That way, I think it could be a hell of lot more creepier. PLus It goes back full circle to the original movie. I'll believe it when I see it. SHOULD this happen in the next 5 years, I will be impressed. ANYTHING has to be better than the swirling shitstorms that was A3,A4 and the last 2 AVP flicks..can't believe I wasted my fucking time on those...

From what I remember the Xenomorphs were created basically in a lab, but I'm like 30% sure on that. Anyway I hope they expand on that in the prequel because it'd be cool to know where exactly they came from or at least a hint. Also if they only have just 1 xenomorph in the prequel I think it's a very good idea, means it'll be hopefully much more suspense filled.

not that it still wouldn't be a good movie if done right, I'm just worried its gonna be just like the first one. 1 alien runnin around killin people on a space ship. They did that in the first one.

Ummm..... lets hope the Studio lets Ridley have some freedom on this one. I'd like to see differrent Variations of the Xenomorph, nothing to over-the-top and not too Hollywood either. i doute that Sigourney will be in it though, but Giger could do. oh yeah and what's with hate on Alien3 what the fuck was wrong with it? its a good film. sure Ressurection was.....well it was a bit werid ok, but Alien 3 isn't that bad.

Haha I give Resurrection a pass because it had Ron Perlman in it, plus it's a good popcorn flick.
