This has been on my mind for a while: Is George A. Romero really the king of zombie movies?
I never believe that any director is the best and don't believe in putting them on a pedestal because no director is the best ever, I believe in respecting them for them releasing movies that can be either successful/failures among the public, but at least they can learn from their faults for improvements.
There are good zombie movies out there instead of Romeros and talented directors who know the zombie genre, but I don't think they are the best (neither is Romero), but hell do they deserve the respect for what they've created. I think it's disrespectful that Romero is believed as the main man in making a great zombie film towards the fans he has and fans of the genre, but there are others who are skilled in making zombie movies, but seem to be looked down upon for not being as popular as Romero towards the genre.
Do you think he is the king of zombie films?
