The Best New Franchise

Ok we're all overly familiar with the old Titan's such as Friday the 13th, ANOES, Halloween, Phantasm, Romero's 4 Dead films, etc. Naturally people have there favorites and mine is Friday the 13th. However the question less asked is which is the best of the new crop? I think it's pretty much granted that they are all inferior to the classic staples but i'm still interested to know which is most liked of the current gen. These are Just off off the top of my head, so if I forgot any key ones feel free to add them... Scream, Final Destination, Saw, Wrong Turn, Feast, Wishmaster..

Of the current and ongoing series i'd have to cast my vote with Final Destination. Sure they are gimmicky but I like the gimmick and plan on seeing the newest installment at the end of the month..

going with scream...loved the 1st one and the 2nd and 3rd were pretty good...if saw stopped at 3 i would have definitely picked that one

Going with Feast. It's fun, it's fast, it's infused with gore and mindless violence that's intended to be mindless. As a franchise it can go on much further than it has and potential stories are numerous. And all of it just for the fun of the horror of it all. Don't forget we still have the possible story of the other three survivors of the original looking for Heroine 1's daughter. And they still haven't really delved into where the monsters came from - and what the hell was up with 3's ending???
I loved every gory minute of these films.

would say Saw if it didn't have a billion sequels, 1-3 are pretty solid, anything after that has been garbage.

Final Destination is definitely a fun franchise.

Saw would've been great, but after 3 it fizzled quick as they focus more on how they kill someone as opposed to the story arch.

Feast is an awesome movie and I was extremely looking forward to the sequels, and all I have to say about that is what the fuck happened?

Other than that I feel I really need a franchise fix.

I love H1kC and Devil's Rejects and if Zombie had any plans for continuations of the Firefly family murders I would dig the hell out of that.

Final Destination

FD - Always dug these movies. Hasn't been one that I hated.

Saw - 1st one was good. The Rest not so much.

Scream - I don't even remember the last time I saw a Scream movie... So I guess it wasn't that great.

Wishmaster - I liked the 1st of what I can remember. That was the 1st movie I saw in our new Theater. Was a good experience. Don't really remember the sequels that much but have seen them.

Feast - 1st was great, absolutly loved it. 2nd Was pretty bad. 3rd I found to be pretty funny. The endin' cracks me up.

Wrong Turn - 1st was good and the 2nd was alright.

Its really between FD and Feast. And Feast is only in there cuz of the 1st one. So I guess I will have to pick FD.

saw - pretty much what everyone else said..shoulda stopped at 3
scream - 1 is cool but i could live with out 2 & 3. then again this franchise really got me into the genre. think i was 7 or 8 when 1 came out
wishmaster - always enjoyed 1...the rest
feast - loved 1..havent seen the others
wrong turn - 1 is good. i loved 2, over the top fun

Feast 2 and 3 were lacking in comparison to 1, but were still fun if you want mindless mayhem. If they decide to make more (which i read somewhere that 3 would be the last) they can still do a lot with it.
FD is good for the kills but really didn;t hit home with me.
Wishmaster i'm not a fan of in general.
Saw should be done and has already gone too far (although i love the various trap designs in all of them)
Wrong turn would be my second choice after Feast.
And scream is just a step below wishmaster for me.

The FD flicks have always been movies I've actually wanted to go see in theaters.

Saw sucked after pt 2.

The rest either suck or had terrible sequels after decent firsts.

First 3 Saws was cool but that series is gettin relentless

I'd have to go with Final Destination. All three are highly entertaining and pretty unique, plus the new one looks to be pretty good hopefully. Kind of a hard decision because I like the Scream series a lot as well.
