well its official. I dunno if these movies will actually happen but someone has been brought on to write 2 more spiderman movies after Raimi does another one. We all knew Raimi was gearing up to do a Spiderman 4. But it lookes like we could see up to 6 Spiderman flicks before its all said and done. I know this had been rumored for awhile.

Now I liked Spiderman, loved Part 2 and loathed part 3 with a passion. Part 3 was just...well it was horrible. It was a disgrace really. So I'm not expecting anything out of Spiderman 4 from Raimi. Hopefully after part 4 is over with, Raimi will leave and then marvel will get to do there own thing with Spiderman. It says in the article that Sam Raimi doesn't like James Vanderbilts script for part 4. Which probably means Vanderbilt actually wrote something good. So I am interested to see what he does for parts 5 and 6 if they do indeed happen. Its not like there isn't room for more movies.

I just hope it gets a reboot and that Raimi leaves. And preferably Kirsten Dunst as well. I hate her as Mary Jane. HATE. Toby Mcguire isn't a bad spiderman or peter parker I dont think. But if he left I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Jake Gyllanhaal take over the role. It may be 2014 before we see a "revamp" of spiderman. But here's to hoping.

Hated the first and second, didn't bother with the third. This incarnation of Spiderman blows, he's always crying to Mary Jane and Aunt May and getting his ass kicked by some badass super-villain. I would like to see a Carnage storyline that was dark in theme.

I love Spiderman. And when I say I love Spiderman, I mean the fox cartoon and the comics storyline, not this movie bullshit. Now, I love Raimi and all, but these movies are fucking terrible. The first Spiderman is alright, but I'd love to see a dark spiderman movie. These movies need a massive reboot.

I think this series has ran it's course and it's reached the point where not a lot of people are interested anymore. Even the big Spider-Man fans have said that if the Lizard isn't in the fourth installment, they won't even go see it. So when their only point of interest is a villain, rather than Raimi getting his shit together, it's time for me to hit my Wrap it Up box.

Enjoyed the first but I believe the second is the best of the bunch and the 3rd is a mess.

My only real complaint in the whole thing is Kirsten Dunst and with Raimi supposedly begging her to come back for the fourth. I sort of doubt they have any plans of killing her off or minimizing screen time for the character as I believe keeping the focus on Spidey and less on Mary J or Aunt May would be the best for the series as a whole.

I have no problem with Toby but everyone has their own idea of who should be who and that's that and that's probably the problem with the hardcore community of any comic fan/cartoon fan or hardcore of anything. They believe they can do everything a whole lot better yet whoever they pick they will have people who dislike what they do IMO. In those communities all you can really do is take what they give and hope for the best I guess.

As far as the sequels beyond 4 go. They can talk all they want about 5 and 6 but if 4 performs mediocre or even small profit wise then 5 and 6 won't happen and that reboot will probably come sooner than later.

The Cap movie had already been moved to June or July, so it's not like the new Spider-Man date affects it.

What you said and I agree with Steelba. I liked the first 50/50 on the second and didn't bother with the third. Think its best to put this series to bed.

First was good, Second was better...third would have been great had it been 2 movies, and had Venom had alot more focus and screen time. I'm def. game for a 4th 5th and 6th.
