I have always wondered why or what it is that is so hard to get right with werewolf movies. The monster itself is f'n sweet and my favorite of the classical ones! But for whatever reason it seems to be near impossible to make a good one. I'm not sure if it's because the FX are to complicated or hard pull off, or if it's merely a scripting/story issue. I suppose it might be the FX as it can't be that hard to punch up a likable script and inject some good characters into it. Well it shouldn't be anyways
There are tons of werewolf movies out there but VERY few are any good. Especially when compared with other sub-genres such as Slashers, Vampires, and Zombies. All have a wider array of solid films. Although zombies seem to be the 2nd hardest to get right. Anyways I was wondering what exactly you guys think the big problem is when it comes to getting a lychan flick right. I mean there has to be a feasible reason, because there is alot more good flicks in every other genre by comparison.
