I figure as much but you never know. Maybe some Star Wars nerd become a director and wants to make a remake of Star Wars in the future.

With countless books and video games that go past the six films, why remake the first one when you can expand the franchise even further? Instead of giving people the same thing, I'm sure if some big Star Wars fan became a director and wanted to do his own movie in the franchise, he would want to move past the two trilogies; respecting the si....er, three films.
I bet my 2 cents that they will remake the first 3 films.
Lucas doesn't care about what happens to that trilogy if makes bank on it.

Well, now that I think about it..how many times has Star Wars been revamped with better footage? He's always adding shit in, so I guess can see a remake happening in the near future

Too bad the added footage hasn't actually done anything for the films. The originals should never been touched or revamped (aka cornholed) in the first place.
A remake would be an unnecessary mistake.
