Bio-Zombie is aight. Has some funny moments. The zombies themselves look pretty stupid, but the movie is a nice homage to Dawn of the Dead.

I doubt i'll run into her. She probably lives as far away from Pennsylvania as possible. I know if I were her I would. But yes, if I ever happen to run into her I will. lol.

There are a lot of issues with horror which again come into play.

Clowns don't scare me. Not even Pennywise. They frighten plenty of other people. We are all afraid of different things. Sometimes we even feel different fears at different times. A lot of people would be more afraid of The Exorcist or New Nightmare as parents. (I feel twice as disgusted by the pandering as a parent.)

So. Moving on to the quality of entertainment.

American studios seem more interested in family-friendly, PG-13 horror right now. Without stepping into the ages-old argument, I find (personally) that intensity is important. This is usually lacking from the current crop of our horror films.

But Asian as a better hole? There are so many teenage girl ghosts with wet hair over their faces that can be scary. I say this having even enjoyed the fantasy element of the original One Missed Call, but also having been bored to sleep by the sequel.

Both sides have their trappings and their visionaries. All of us have our own fears. I'm personally just happy that technology and interest have collaborated to let everyone share what they have. It increases the odds of finding something enjoyable wherever it's from.

I like asian movies more than american, but asian movies have too many ghost stories. It gets annoying after a while. There are some movies they have that aren't ghost movies and don't deal with the supernatural a lot, but damn, there is too much supernatural stories!!!!!!!

Luris pretty much covered this. Different things scare different people. In the case of the Japanese; its ghosts. Supernatural and superstitious beliefs are a major part of their culture/heritage, so while vengeful ghosts may seem silly to us, it is frightful to them.

Much like any film market though, there were several very successful ghost films made in Japan, so that became the trend to follow for horror movies over there which is why there are so many. And because of the popularity and success of The Ring here, just about every supernatural movie that companies could get their hands on were imported or remade.

Japanese ghost movies are the equivalent of American slashers.

Vengeful ghosts/Asian ghost films don't seem silly to me. I just find most of them boring.

There are lots of American ghost films that I find scary and or interesting.
