I'll watch this movie simply because it's Romero, but to be honest, I hated Diary Of The Dead.

You are forgetting Land of the Dead was a travesty as well and overall Romero hasn't made a good movie in QUITE some time.

I didn't think Land Of The Dead sucked as much as people say it does. It entertained me. Sure it's nowhere near as good as NOTLD, DAWN or DAY, but it was decent to me. Diary though was pure poop.

yes Land of the Dead entertained me quite alot.
But in my opinion after Dawn of the Dead he started doing worse and worse. Day was a fun movie, but it doens't even come close to touching Night or Dawn, and then he became complete shit when he did Bruiser. I did like Monkey Shines though, except for the ending when the guy realized he can move, all he had to do was want it bad enough.

I liked LotD. The idea of zombies having some intelligence is creepy. It wasn't the greatest zombie flick, nope... but I enjoyed it also.

I actually liked Diary the first time I watched it... And then when I re-watched it, I had the urge to /slap myself. I do own a sweet Diary poster though! At least something good came outta that movie.

I liked Day Of The Dead. It had the best gore out of all of them. I think it's underrated. I agree that it's not as good as NOTLD or DAWN, but it's still a good film.

My ex-boyfriend liked it, but he likes a lot of crappy movies. That's one of the reasons he's my ex. Example: He thinks The Thing is boring, so I had to let him go.

I saw this earlier tonight. Ummmmm, its very slow paced and zombies are not the main focus here..these clans are. I didn't care for that. The guardsmen were awesome. I wish it focused more on them hunting zombies and looking more for a ''safe place''. Nicotine Crocket was awesome as the main guard and the kid they pick up is cocky and amusing. CGI..blew big time. There was little gore but the zombies were cool. I was surprised at the ending...didn't think it would take that turn. It had some nice dark humour...all in all I am glad I didn't pay to see it. 6/10 for me.

Land of the Dead was iffy for me... But I loved Diary of the Dead. I am hoping for another good movie with this.

Not a bad flick. Maybe the 1st zombie soap opera ever made.

Makes you think about what you would do in a world where the dead return life when a loved one dies. Do you bury them or allow them to live, (even though they become a threat to the living) chained and restrained with the hope of a cure to the zombie plague?
Problem with this flick is it harps on that too much. Needed more of a story. This film could have easily been as effective in getting it's message thru as a zombie movie short. 86 minutes? A little too long for a flick with such little material.

Definitely not for anyone looking for a Dawn type flick but still OK for what it is.
