Soooo much hype around this one it's not even funny. Especially after you've seen it.
I haven't read the book, so I don't know how good that is or how this movie fairs in comparison to it's source material. With that, the movie Header is claimed to be this extremely disturbing, gritty, nasty movie. I will admit that the concept is indeed a nasty one, but the final product felt a little lacking. Not a bad movie, but at no point did it really get to be as disturbing or as nasty as the idea behind it. With this also being a "first time" for director Archibald Flancranstin, the amateurishness of the movie is definitely noticeable.
With all that said though, it wasn't a bad movie. Because it's so completely over the top and is filled with bad acting, it felt like I was watching more of a dark comedy/hicksploitation rather than a horror movie. I'm not sorry about watching it, but I don't see myself ever sitting through it again.
