I'd bet on L4D3 taking place either in LA or possibly following off some sort of nonsensical adventure with the Midnight Riders whom are pretty popular in L4D2.

As far as some tidbits on the game. I love the new update they put out recently for bot infected for versus and for manual ghost spawns on finales. Especially the second part of that which was long overdue.

Still a campaign finale like Dark Carnival needs some work. No ladder on the corner that survivor teams usually camp and the back area up top that you should be able to spawn in which you can't if survivors stand in front of the gate. Even though there is plenty of space in the back area to warrant spawning.

Melee on Tank damage decreased from 10% to 5% and it seems better on normal versus but very little difference is noticed on the 8v8 servers I play on. A good tank player ends up equating to hiding, throwing rocks and letting the rest of the specials do the work. Especially on a campaign like Dark Carnival, hit up the concert roof and let them do damage.

as soon as I was playing LFD1 I thought man it would be cool if weather was a factor in these games, then came the hurrican level in part 2. Soooo fun. Need some stuff like that, maybe something taking place in the snow or during an earthquake. yeah earthquake would be fun as hell.

Yeah, tank moments freeze it to a point where survivors are stuck and infected have more time to do stuff.

Still the best tanks are those who first kill time, and leave the other specials to cause a ruckus and break the concentration of the survivors. And then attack all the survivors which arent pinned by other specials.

I remember in hospital 3rd level in L4D, Tank spawned right after the elevator, and survivors went behind it to shoot the tank before it could crouch inside the same room.

I was the tank that time, and I was just harassing them, seeming like I was coming from another hole, and then quickly going to the next. When they were trying to shoot me, none of them really guarded against other special infected.

So when hunter and smoker struck two survivors down, other 2 were distracted enough for me to get inside unnoticed and kill all 4 of them.

Bit of random news on the DLC for L4D2 and

It appears one survivor from L4D1 will be killed off by user choice in the new L4D1 DLC and with the DLC for L4D2 you only run into 3 of them from what it seems. Also the witch will have a new wedding dress skin among an M60, a new melee weapon being the golf club and other things.

Cannot wait for the Passing to come out today.

So tired of versus being centered around Dead Center. Everytime I get on its about Dead Center having about 30 games going at a time while everything else has about 5 or 6 at most.

On the other hand Realism Versus should be a real treat. All those nerds that run ahead won't be seen anymore unless they all rush. This mode will make a lot of players look bad me included. Like others have said the Jockey should become really useful in Realism Versus since he can literally take people away from line of sight without seeing an outline.

I do like the Mutation idea they have in place which more or less amounts to different gamemodes all the time though hopefully after a while they just decide to keep them instead of having to vote on them. Either way people will likely put those modes in their servers so they should stick around anyway.

This franchise kinda has me on the ropes at the moment. On one hand I can't wait for the DLC because of the modded community servers and they will be able to do with it as well as just playing with friends but other than that. I dunno if its just me but I feel like the L4D community as a whole is a giant cesspool of crybabies and just in general douches out there right now.
