Remakes you wish HAD been good?

For me I'd say Friday the 13th and The Fog.

F13 was just terrible IMO. Nothing but the slaughtering of a bunch of Abercrombie kids. And The Fog was just too cheesey. The original was a fun, slightly creepy ghost flick I thought and the remake just turned out like a too late 1990's WB slasher flick.

Definitely Halloween. Zombie really put a stain on the franchise with that one. Others include Black Christmas and TCM.

I wish the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was better than it was. Then I'd go with Black Christmas seeing as the original is one of my all times favorite horror movies

Halloween - Set up and fell HARD for this one. One big sloppy mess all around whether you compare it to the OG or not.


Last House on the Left (I still like this remake quite a bit not compared to the OG, but it missed that gritty, raw, honest, feel the OG had.)

When a Stranger Calls - Being a fan of the original and not wanting a remake at all, but still...coulda been better!

I didn't like the Omen remake at all. Guess it's cause I prefer classics..

Yeah, When a Stranger Calls was horrible too. Though, like with the Black Christmas movies, I never really cared for the originals either.

The Omen remake was terrible. Rob Zombie just needs to fucking stop not everything is a redneck cliche so yeah I mean his Halloween movies and he will ruin The Blob. So it's safe to say his remake of the remake of The Blob will blow loads of monkey ass.
