Sooooooo there is a movie set to go straight to DVD called Dead Air! Have you heard of it? Ok well here goes.
With all the post 9/11 evil creeping over the USA, our government has diverted something so disturbing most would never see it happen. Well ok until now!
A plague in the form of a toxic viral gas is unleashed at major sporting events across the United States and in Los Angeles. The gas turns its victims instantly "into an immediate rage of insanity and violence". Controversial talk show radio host Logan Burnhardt (Moseley) and his production team are caught up in the middle of the chaos, and only blocks away from the explosion site, they begin to receive reports of rioters in the streets and listeners continue to call in reports of their first hand experiences. In addition to those infected by the virus, the terrorists, lead by Abir (Negahban), responsible for the attacks attempt to make their way to Logan's studio, killing anyone in the way. It turns to American V's American as our own population becomes a tool of destruction against Us.
Now the zombies are not actual zombies, "It's like a PCP zombie movie, that's the take on it 'cause they're not really dead.Kinda like 28 days later physical contact spreads the contamination.
Well it kinda gives me the whole Pontypool movie feel, which was really not that great of a movie. The Whole Radio host and his crew broadcasting a tragic event from scared listeners who are calling in to do play by play. I'm always mesmerized by how widespread and beloved the zombie genre still is.Every year there are countless low-budget zombie movies and the occasional big-budget zombie movie. It's all because of George A. Romero's original films, and it's amazing to see his work go such a long way. Not really sure how this movie will turn, it could be another pontypool with a zombie apocalypse but experienced from inside a small radio station, with no real show. I think this movie will need a bit of love. I will give this a chance
So is this Original or a bunch of other Zombie movie concepts copied all in one?
