iv'e liked most the Platium Dunes Remakes, but the way this puts it, it sounds like 10 pounds of shit in five pound bag. Not adding a Blood gyser homage? That could be dusted off and made a bit slicker for new auciences to get into it.BUT this is just a dude's opinion so im still gonna check it out although we have been warned.

Agreed. The idea behind it initially sounded interesting. But once you're told, by Wes Craven himself, that the "new" Freddy's supposed to be some kind of ancient demon that's manifested from pop culture, it gets a bit nonsensical. :straightface2:

Is it any more nonsensical than a child killer being resurrected by dreams demons, then spending the rest of his existence killing teens in their dreams?

I'm still going to see the remake eventually. Since i really never liked Freddy all that much the remake doesn't have a lot to live up to IMO anyway.
I'll make my own decisions thanks.

oh...and if word on the street is true this is just going to be one of three nightmare movies produced in the next three or four years...

If the first movie tanks, I wouldn't hold your breath on more for a few years.

Another future turd in my dvd collection? Well, cant skip it if it was called the worst picture of all time. I must see this, shit or not. Going in with extremly low expectations. Still, its damn bad if its worse then New Nightmare.

Arnez expresses my sentiments exactly. I know this will probably be all kinds of aweful, but I must go see it. I think the only classic slasher horror that was 100% good was Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I can say that with this one I have high hopes, but low expectations.
