Looks like they took an Avatar kitty looking thing set it on fire and there is your new Freddy.

Eh, it is a toy, designed while they're still editing his face in the movie. This does give us a good idea of what he looks like, but not a final shot. The burns here are much more realistic and don't make him look like a fuckin' cheese pizza, so that's nice. I also like the loss of color in his right eye. Looks like Gary Oldman's makeup in Hannibal was an influence.

Freddy's Revenge is the worst sequel? Are you fucking high? Do you not remember the shit typhoon that is Freddy's Dead? The movie that practically destroyed Freddy Krueger's respectability?

I don't care if most people prefer Dream Warriors to Freddy's Revenge. There's a lot of people out there who say Hostel is a great movie. Even the American Film Institute left out The Empire Strikes Back off of both of their Top 100 Films lists, while Star Wars was in the top twenty.

Fuck you Hostel was kick ass and for the record I think empire is the best star wars flick. Freddys dead had an excuse because it was the 5th sequel, it was expected to be bad. Any Freddy fan will tell you 3 is the best sequel next to New Nightmare

revenge was so bad that wes craven himself had to come back and redeem freddy from the shitfest that was Freddy's Revenge. This is pointless your never gonna get it through your thick skull. Anyone that reads this is gonna agree

I can't help it of you're a homophobe, but Freddy's Dead is still the worst movie of the franchise. Freddy's gone from lurking in the shadows to having flood lights on him, he looks like some Big Spit I lurched out when I had appendicitis, and he's killing teens with product placement. I'd rather watch the ass-grinding, mythos-destroying Freddy's Revenge than the shit-filled Easter Egg that is Freddy's Dead. Craven may have had to come back to the series after part 2, but after part 6, he had to go to a whole 'nother universe; where the previous movies are just movies. There was no credibility to the character anymore, he was a fucking joke. Craven had to make the villain of the movie actual pure evil, embodying the likeness of Freddy Krueger, rather than another adventure of Freddy in movie world.

And that would be a negative on "anyone is going to agree" statement of yours. I think A Nightmare On Elm Street and all of its sequels are terrible, so I don't really care. But I think I'd rather side with somebody that doesn't sound like a childish fanboy.

Based on that review I imagine his face isn't the only thing getting massive edits.

for me anyway.

i would have loved to see another freddy vs jason flick (even bringing in ash like in the comics) but personally i can't wait for this to come out. i'm won't even be that upset if it turns out freddy was innocent all along...it actually kind of makes sense he'd be back for revenge. the whole "master of the dream gate" stuff that occured later on was kind of hokey to me.

i confuse some of the later nightmare sequals...freddys dead, new nightmare, parts 4 and 5. all rank pretty high on the suckometer. i like part 2 simply because of the grit to it...it was dark and much scarier than other sequals. it did a good job of bringing freddy back (after all if his purpose is to kill the kids of the people who burned him to death eventually he's going to run out)

of course that pic of freddy...looks like e.t. with burn marks....

i can't wait...i wish there was a way for me to see this now.
