Little Children

Kate Winslet, Patrick Wilson, Jennifer Connely, and Kellen Lutz (Nightmare on Elm Street Remake) star in this black comedy/drama about a registered sex offender, two marriages that are secretly failing, and washed up policed officer wanting to prove himself.

This film works on many levels is what makes it brilliant. At times it can be so awkward, crude and sometimes disturbing. Other moments leave you in awe of the intriguing connection between Winslet and Wilson's characters. Kellen's character seems to be a tricky one. As his role unravels you find a love/hate relationship between he and the viewer. Finally Will Lyman as the narrator adds a unique insight on what each person is feeling and thinking. His voice was a perfect addition to the film.

For anyone interested in dark humor, infidelity, great screenwriting, brutal indie dramas or just fans of great cinema. Check out Little Children.

Saw this a couple of months ago and I do agree with the ratings. A very good movie with good characters.
