I struggled to get into it too. Not the best film.

Drag Me to Hell - PG-13, full of CGI and not scary whatsoever.
Zombieland - Good movie, but wouldn't consider it horror
Saw - Long and dragged out series that should have stopped after the second one
Final Destination - CGI shit fest that didn't make sense and did anything to shock the little kid audience.
Paranormal Activity was very creepy, but the CGI ending ruined it. Not that scary either and completely over hyped

Horrible list imo. There are much better movies that came out this year.

Anywho, I agree with Zombieland, love horror comedies, reminded me of slither and cabin fever. I also liked Deadgirl, it was pretty insane but thats cause I get really squemish around rape scenes...same goes for the last house on the left remake, it was pretty alright.
Trick r' Treat was beautiful, loved it. Pandorum was good too, really loved the whole nihilistic feel to it. Haven't seen antichrist or martyrs yet but I have em now so I will definitely give them a viewing.

I won't even comment on the Saw series or Jennifer's body. Just lol at those.

Totally didn't expect to see the Friday the 13th remake listed as a good movie. Guy leaves, guy dies. Guy leaves, Guy dies. The rest run around. At least some of the deaths were creative.
