Bad Idea, Lionsgate really doesn't dish out many good action films (epics wise).

Now I did like Transporters 1 and 2, 3 sucked huge balls. U think it should have stayed at Warner Bros.

If they get the rights, great. At least then we have a much better chance of getting that R rating WB pussed out on. I really REALLY want to see this story played out and the way Cameron envisioned it.

Terminator Salvation I actually liked up until the way over the top bad CGI infested ending. But I dunno, I'm willing to see someone do something with it.

I liked Salvation; I don't give a damn about the CGI or that fact that McG directed it. And I hope Lionsgate gets the rights; I'm sure they can pull off a fine epic action movie.

Wasn't a huge fan of this one, and I personally think Lionsgate is awesome but I don't know if this is a good fit

Salvation was not apocaliptic future that I wanted to see,it felt nothing like the future Kyle Reese was telling us about,or maybe Kyle was stretching the truth a little when telling Sara about future events so he could get a peice of ass.

So many things that Kyle said in that first fist film were almost the exact opposite of what young Kyle says in Salvation like when he tells Sara they can move around a little at night and they hide during the day and young Kyle says that they stay hidden at night and dont move, then there is the whole bar code and resistance thing with Kyle.

But,yeah,do it over and get it right!

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they remake the first. I know its a terrible idea but after T4 where else do they have to go? and with all the remakes these days I thinks theres a very good chance of it happening.

The whole reason why the series was restarted was so that they could show another piece of the time line. Remaking the first would have made Salvation a waste of time. You've got one of the most bankable movie stars as the lead role and with a remake, why throw that away?

Rather see the movies revolve around Terminators in the past, not humans in the future. However, a remake of the first would be a terrible, profitable idea.

T4 was a waste of time, I asked for my money back. So many classics that were considered untouchable have been remade already why should Terminator be the only exception?

The Terminator should never be considered as a classic among the other unremade movies, like The Godfather or Citizen Kane. I don't see this as some Superman Returns situation, so its not like a reboot is almost the only way to go, and with the right director, T5 could be a good movie.

I think that now that a Terminator film set in the future has become the least grossing Terminator in the series the producers of the next one will want to go back to the past.

To be fair they both good ideas, it will be up to the execs at Lionsgate to decide which is more profitable, and looking at the performance of T4 I doubt they will make T5.

Gimme T5 with a credible director, a good script along with Bale and incorporate Summer Glau in there somehow and I'd think that would be a good start because Cameron is done with this series forever IMO and Arnie is so old along with not having any time to film a legit movie that he's pretty much done as well.

To clarify its a good isea to keep the Terminator franchise in the past, not remake the original. I dunno but that's the way I'de like T5 to go.

I just want T5, I dug T4 and I want to see what's going on in other parts of he world in the next movie and see where the series goes from there. Also a remake doesn't sound like a good idea to me at all, it would just be another cheesy CGI suck-fest that would probably stray far from the original.

If they could afford Cameron in some capacity (and with Avatar making hollywood forget we're in a recession I doubt this), I would be down. His films had something more going on than explosions and Bale hamming it up. Until that happens, I don't really care what they do with them. I can just rewatch T2

Bale He was terrible. Sam Worthington was the only good thing about T4
