Pretty good premiere despite the WD convenient writing in it, especially towards the end.

I noticed that this show could have 500 people shooting at each other, but rarely do you see someone gets shot.
You're more likely to suffer death by having a Zombie sneak up on you from behind, over being shot in this show.
Still love it though.

And why didn't Father Gabriel shoot Negan? He was clearly holding a gun when Negan approached him and told Gabriel "I hope you have your shitting pants on"
Gabriel also stopped Rick from killing Negan earlier in the episode.

That makes complete sense, plus Gabriel stopped Rick from killing Negan earlier in the episode. When Rick says "My Mercy Prevails Over My Wrath" Everything started to make sense to me. The reason Gabriel stopped Rick from killing Negan and then chose not to kill Negan when he had the chance at the end of the episode is all part of their plan to keep Negan alive.
Rick planned for them all to keep Negan alive in order to spare the lives of not only his people, but the lives of those who follow Negan.

The acting on this show is phenonemal. (Especially from Andrew Lincoln and Jeffrey Dean Morgan)
Season 7 was probably my favorite season so far. They really did a great job in developing the characters.
I'm not really sure how I feel so far about Season 8. So far it hasn't really done much to hook me.
We already know that Morgan is going to die this season, it's so obvious.
And they did show Shiva being surrounded by Walkers in the trailer, which is how she dies in the Comics. I didn't expect her or Jerry to make it past Season 8 (I love Jerry's character)

Jeffrey Dean Morgan might be the best villain of all time.

Just got caught up with The Walking Dead, and frankly it seems like the writing has gotten bad this season. This is the first season where it's very obvious even for those that haven't read the comics
Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.

The first two episodes haven't done much for me so far this season, but I expected Season 8 to start out very fast, so as a loyal fan I'll just ride it out and hope for the best. By the mid-season finale hopefully this season will be worth the wait.

Jesus is really pissing me off with his wanting to save everyone. It's good to see people like Daryl just shooting people, no matter who they are. Meanwhile, the ending to this latest ep was no surprise, especially with The King being a little overly confident. Plus those of us who've read the comic knew what was evenbtually coming for him and his group

The Walking Dead has turned into an implosive disaster...every episode becomes a tad more laughable than the one before it.

Yeah, Jesus wants to save everyone, while Morgan and Daryl want to murder everything in sight.
The ONLY positive I could see with this whole Jesus situation is that by doing this some of the Saviors may eventually turn on Negan, since Rick's group could've easily killed them all, but didn't. First Morgan, Carol, and now with Jesus not wanting to kill everyone, but I have a feeling it's going to work out for Rick's group in the end. But, I can also see one of these Saviors killing Morgan and there will be no one to blame but Jesus.

I couldn't wait for the Eric character to die (He annoyed the crap out of me)
But I felt terrible for Aaron and his loss. That dude can act.

How long are we gonna have to wait until we find out what Negan plans are for Father Gabriel?
