Another boring episode about the governor. Many things annoyed me about the episode like no one suspecting the governor of anything. I am looking forward to the next episode and hopefully some action.

I really feel like this plot-line was mishandled completely.. It was like we were going with one plot-line then it just abruptly shifted to the governor.. and in two episodes he went from an almost sympathetic character to being the same old shithead he always was. It would've been better handled if instead of two episodes that focused completely on him, it should've been little scenes here and there throughout the season, building up to where we are now. As it was done it was like they were saying "Oh shit! We gotta have some kind of conflict for the Mid-season final! Quick write a couple eps with governor!!!"

I agree with this even after last nights episode. The last 20 minutes were very good but it still doesn't take away from what seems to be a mishandled show at this point.

seems like she didn't give two shits about Hershel.

No doubt the episode was filled with a boatload of bad-assery in the final minutes but outside of this episode what has there really been?

Overall good episode with a very energetic final 20 minutes.

One thing really bothers me though...that's Daryl. He is like an old 80's action hero cliche at this point. An unstopable hero that comes out of massive battles with a minor cut and a little bit of blood. Also...where the FUCK did the grenade come from? Awfully convienient. No?

Crazy that they'd kill off my least (Governor) and most (Herschell) favorite characters in one episode. It was a solid ep that redeemed the show for the last two entries into an otherwise solid season.

Could've easily served as a Season finale, but as their midseason finales go, it was quite good.

But at least now, they leave room for some creativity, because the group is scattered to the winds, and unlike the Season 2 finale, I don't think they'll all be meeting up on some highway somewhere.

- No more bitching about all the characters being in one location (Prison, Hershels farm), even though it makes perfect sense regardless of pace sake
- The characters on their own, will hopefully have more time to blossom
- Less Daryl in the long run, unless they hook him up with Beth which is something they might do
- The Governor arc all wrapped up, leading to more avenues, which I think most people including me, thought they might drag out

The only way things can really fail from here is pulling another Andrea in the writing room with some of the characters while on their own, or meeting others. Hopefully Kirkman and company don't make that mistake again.

Karl was pretty awesome in his bit part.

Pretty cool mid season finale. I liked the Governor very much but another insane character will probally arise in future episodes.

I like bad guys.

Great episode. All of the kids are becoming pretty bad ass. Lots of action and many things I did not expect. Also moving away from the prison and I saw a few parts in the upcoming episodes that were in the comic so I would like to see where this goes and who else they are going to introduce. Although I'm sad for the break it gives me some time to catch up on my reading.

Especially with them finally leaving the prison. I predicted that even before the season started that they would probably leave the prison in the first half.

why would an action figured of the comic character mean he is arriving in the show? Doesn't make sense.. and I don't expect Negan anytime, or priobably ever

Then I read about a rumor I keep seeing around different sites, and it has me worried that's always something Kirkman and the writers are going to try to fall back on when they feel they have nothing to say.

Another character whose alive in the comics right now, will die in the second half of the season.

To me, that sort of formula was ok in season 2. Even with Season 3 at points, but 3 times is a trend and it screams cheap shock value, and in two cases, happened because of alleged politicking behind the scenes.

I mean if that's all they have in their back pocket. Then changing things up from the comics doesn't really mean all that much, and in fact it allows us to basically pinpoint whose sorta safe and whose not moving forward.

Unless it was intentionally leaked as misdirection, which is what im hoping for. I feel like it should be ok to go a season without having to rely on that card.
