Latest
On another note... Tara seems to be the only one actually gaining weight during the zombie apocalypse.

I completely forgot about Tara and that other dude until this ep. They sure missed a lot back at Alexandria
The whole island people thing was kinda MEH. Seemed like realistically Tara should've died a buncha times there, but whatever. Wonder what happened to that guy

Tara's titties bouncing around when she ran was the only highlight of the episode, other than that it put me to sleep.

Better than last weeks lame ep. Mid-season finale looks like it will probably be decent.

Im having a hard time evaluating this show anymore.
Its just gotten to the point where its simply mirroring the comic as much as it can, which i guess is not bad but i'd like to see something different. The few times they do things differently, they tend to fuck it up. So... i have no idea anymore.

Decent mid-season finale. Some expected deaths and things finally moving forward again. That spiked zombie in the previews at the end

I thought the mid-season finale was alright. Nothing spectacular, but I did not fall asleep while watching it so that's always a plus. As a whole the first half of the season was pretty bad though, hope the second half is better.

Eh...related but unrelated. General thoughts on the show.
Rewatching select seasons of both Buffy/Angel a lot lately. I enjoy them both pretty equally still, with an edge to Buffy. I honestly can't complain much about either show. That bit of it feels so refreshing compared to what feels like forcing myself to like TWD these days and really wondering what can be done to turn that show around before it sinks too far into the abyss, if it hasn't already. This came to me over the midseason break. I'm rapidly losing all interest in the show. I only really have an interest in FTWD right now. The show is so artificial right now, so by the book, so fake really, etc.
I'd take Whedon and a neutral network in a heartbeat running TWD right now. In a fucking heart beat.
I'm certain Whedon could take Dawn and Connor alone, make them the lead characters on TWD and get more mileage on the show than what it does right now. That might be a bit too strong and laced in hyperbole, but Whedon could do wonders because he cared about his characters. It helps that Whedon created his universe from the ground up. Had Buffy/Angel come from a source material, the jade might be very strong. Even so, the universe continues in comic form. I gotta get back into the Buffy/Angel comics, Dawn and Connor interacting feels like a no brainer at this point. The sister, the key, the blob of energy and the damned son of two vampires. I mean they were mostly hated in the fandom with some fans, but fuck sake man...the characterization. Whedon could take characters that weren't that well liked in his shows and still probably have them lead a show with so many dead weight characters like TWD. Along with the fact that TWD couldn't be anywhere near charming or witty compared to a Whedon run show.

I cant stand Whedon.
Overrated pos.
Hes good at two things, character creation and character writing. To take advantage of this he really needs to be teamed up with a good story teller, someone who can actually craft an original story and input these characters.

2 months of waiting. Uh!
The first half of the season had its moments, but the pacing was generally slow and much of it was just filler.
