Negan's the only good character on the show.

Because the writers are so bad on this show, they never planned ahead more than that season, so all of these characters are in character development limbo. Some have flat-lined, some keep looping, or their development mirrors another characters' no matter how different they are, but they are all in some kind of weird limbo that seems to have no end.

I would have said the samething if I had read the comic. At this point from what I've seen of Negan he has no place in Rick's community. Realistically Negan would have in all likelyhood been killed when he lost because of everything Negan had put the surviviors through, and woyldn't be spared because of one person's wish or dream. The demands of the many outweigh the needs of the few
Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.

The acting is still good, but I honestly think this series has lost its edge. The first four seasons and even five and six were edge of your seat entertainment. This series started in 2010 as far as I'm aware, but I got into it in 2016 and was sold after only a few episodes. I couldn't stop watching episode after episode when I obtained the box sets and I thought, wow, this is like how horror used to be. Now I just think it is pretty meh to be honest. The zombies, or um, walkers aren't even that terrifying any more, but the spiked one was at least kind of "neat" to me. They feel like unchallenging extras now though and it's like a war series now, or a western where people are driven out of town, but they chuck in the odd walker so we know what the show is called. It just isn't as good. Some fans are also visibly upset about certain beloved characters dying, but I think that provided realism, as it's supposed to be a cruel world. If they kept living through all manner of hell, we would not be scared or that worried about them and so this makes it better, even if some fans act pissed off.

I love the zombie genre....I HATE this fucking show. Loved the first 4-5 seasons....BUT now...forget it. Too many reasons why this show has turned into pure shit....but here is on little piece: How many motivational speeches do we need from sweaty Rick? I'm done....the show should be cancelled and laid to rest.

Yeah, it nearly put me to sleep. Last week's episode was really good, one of the best ones I've seen in a while. Hopefully, this season ends in fashion and they make me want to tune in for Season 9.

Easily. He could have done it when he had them all kneeling in a circle, but Negan doesn't want to kill everyone, his purpose is to "Save" people. Plus, he takes over other groups so they can work and provide for him, while he takes half their stuff. It's like you work your ass off and then look at your check and half of your income is gone in taxes. Smart.

Latest ep was okay, nothing special. Last week's ep was decent since they finally got rid of the pointless garbage people. Hopefully we'll eventually learn a bit more about why there's a helipad and solar panels there And it seems pretty obvious that Jadis will return again in some way. I've read some peeps say she'll come back as Alpha or someone else from the Whisperers, but I doubt it. Either way, the trash people were litterally trash and I'm glad they're gone.

I'm actually a big fan of how Season 7 played out because there was a lot more character development going on. Season 8 starts off with the "All Out War" and that's okay since they took an entire season to build up to the War with the Saviors. I just want a spin-off of Negan's backstory. That would be sick.

And here we go again...
Spoiler...How many more times are they going to have Negan dead to rights, only for him to squirrel away courtesy of piss-poor, plot-induced stupidity? By this point he should have been dead four or fives times over. The worst offender was that eye-rolling moment when Lucille stopped Rosita's bullet at point blank range (that bullet, of that caliber, from that pistol, at that range, would have gone through Lucille, through Negan's head and probably stuck halfway through the head of the guy behind him). And now this time we have Rick, a highly trained police officer well-versed in the use of automatic fire arms, yet against all logic and reason decides to waste two full clips firing at a target he doesn't have a visual on (not to mention anyone trained in the use of an automatic rifle knows you don't hold the trigger until it clicks empty; you fire in 3-5 round bursts, to minimize straying your aim). Which is yet another instance of the writers ignoring character at the behest of a show runner who prefers spectacle over sense.
Someone said earlier that Negan would have killed Rick easily. I disagree. Negan's a smarmy thug with a bat and skinny little chicken legs; Rick is a veteran law enforcement professional with a fucking Colt Python constantly at his side and, as we'll remember from the awesome season 2 episode Nebraska, a quick-draw with pinpoint accuracy. As a brawler, he's beat the living shit out of Tyreese, who was twice Negan's size, and he's gone toe-to-toe with the Governor and held his own (during a time when Rick wasn't even at his best). No. The only reason Negan isn't dead right now is because Scott Gimple doesn't want him dead, logic and character continuity be damned.
