Just watched the latest episode and found it pretty boring. Honestly, the best part of that episode was the scenes involving Gamma and Aaron.

Season 10 has been surprisingly great and I can't believe how I'm still this much invested into it, knowing Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs are both gone from the show.

I can't believe we now have to wait months for the Season 10 finale to be aired. I seriously can't wait until Judith or Virgil tell Daryl and company about Rick Grimes could very well be alive and Michone has gone out to find him.

Just read that this series will finally end after season 11.

Season 10's mid-season finale airs October 4th with plans for 10 more eps to air next year to finish up the 10th season all together. Season 11 will apparently have 24 episodes in total that will span through a couple years.

Though don't expect this to be the actual end of the show, as AMC has a spinoff series in the works that will feature Daryl Dixon and Carol from the current series. A bit spoilerish if you think about it since it confirms they won't die in the show, unless it takes place during a different time period This spinoff is tentatively set to air sometime in 2023.

It's also reported that AMC is developing a Walking Dead anthology series titled Tales of The Walking Dead, which will focus on individual stories of new and old characters from the universe.

Meanwhile, the YA spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond comes out October 4th and let's not forget that Fear the Walking Dead is also still going on and premieres its sixth season on October 11th.

Oh yeah, and there's also the three Rick Grimes-focused movies that are still being developed

It should. IMO it's at least 7 seasons too late. They had ample time and opportunity to recapture the feel and structure of the first few seasons, but they either could not - or would not - bring back the magic. Good riddance.

Eh, I stopped watching after season 8 when the writers made a complete fool and liar out of Rick by making him spare Negan. Andy Lincoln deserved better than what this show gave him to work with after the awful Scott Gimple took over in season 4. You can immediately see the drastic shift in tone and characterizations between seasons 3 and 4. That's all Gimple, screwing the pooch from the get-go by ignoring all established characterizations and logic in favor of shock and spectacle. The show could have redeemed itself with Rick hardcore snuffing Negan and giving the characters his balls back, but nope. It's no wonder Lincoln left the show.

Next season will be the last, but I believe it'll be 24 eps, so there's still a lot of room for anything to happen. I'm sure there will be a point where Maggie attempts to kill Negan, but not actually do it for whatever reason and he eventually redeems himself in a way with her. He'll probably sacrifice himself to save her son or something, either way, I really like where the character is at right now.

A pretty interesting episode. I’m always interested in a characters backstory - especially his. Yeah I can see something like that going on.

Here's Negan was hands down one of the best episodes of the entire series. Highly recommended to those who haven't seen it.

So I posted this in the Walking Dead spinoff thread, but I thought I'd repost it here since some of it is relevant to TWD.

Anyway, in the World Beyond spinoff we got an on Jadis from TWD. She's a high ranking officer within the community that we've seen with the helicopters. She makes reference to what she had to do to get where she is, but doesn't actually say where Rick is or what he's been up to. Either way, it's interesting to get an update on her and by the end of the show she might be the new head of operations.

Also, a scene after the credits reveals a scientist in an old lab in France collecting old hard drive data and before she leaves she opens her laptop, which shows video of Dr. Jenner, who TWD fans may remember as the scientist in the CDC. He's in the video talking to what's believed to be another scientist in France. Dialogue gathered from Jenner and another character seems to indicate that France not only started the virus, but also seemingly came close to curing it, but something happened that resulted in a new strain of the virus to be released. This new strain created a different variant of zombie that seems to be faster, stronger, and slightly more intelligent, which is proven when the scientist is killed and turns into something outta 28 Days Later.

So looks like maybe the last season of TWD might have survivors dealing with this new kind of zombie? which would be cool since I'm tired of seeing survivors fighting other survivors, but who knows.
