http://movies.ign.com/articles/106/1068520p1.htmlUK, February 11, 2010 - The Griswold family looks set to return to cinemas, with New Line planning a reboot of the classic Vacation franchise.
The series kicked off in 1983 with National Lampoon's Vacation, which revolved around the dim and somewhat accident-prone family - led by Chevy Chase as patriarch Clark Griswald - travelling across America to visit theme park Wally World.
It was followed by three sequels, National Lampoon's European Vacation, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, although the new film will apparently drop the Lampoon moniker.
The reboot will return the franchise back to its roots, with son Rusty - now a man with a family of his own - heading back to Wally World before it closes forever. It's thought that Chase will also return for a cameo as Clark.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who have several projects set up at New Line, will write, with Wedding Crashers helmer David Dobkin producing.
I think this sums up my feelings.
