I'm not worried about this not being good, then again I'm in the minority who liked both AVP films.

From the released info, it apparently has solved the major flaws I had with the 2 AvP flicks:

1. They aren't halfassing the creature content like the first AvP. The preds stay on screen for longer than a few moments and aren't there just to be killed within seconds.
2. Balances light and dark so most folks don't miss half the film, like the second AvP.

As long as they keep this a stand alone flick and don't try to tie in the first to pred flicks or have Lance (Bishop) do a walk on somewhere... should do well.

I've been hating on this for a while now but the trailer does renew some interest. It looks darker, character oriented and very basic. We'll see what happens.
