Not a flick to take serious. I think thats why alot of critics are bashing it. They are thinking too much and trying to see more in this flick than there really is. It not an epic love story or breath-taking drama. Its a flick of people beating the shit out of other people. Thats it, nothing more nothing less. Accept the simplicity of the flick before you watch it and you'll enjoy it. Try and see anything meaningful in it and you will hate it.

the critics are bashing it cuz it has an 11 year old girl violently killing people in it.

Again, taking the film too seriously. The trailers did not exactly hide the fact that kids did violent things in this film. This shock and awe knee-jerk response the critics have is over the top.

I think the movie should of been called Hit Girl instead of Kick Ass. She steal the show and Big daddy as her father. Overall it was good.

I'm not taking this too seriously, but I will be seeing it. Now that I've seen the trailers and heard of the movies criteque (remember if the critics say don't see it, then see it!) which it does have a pretty good size tomatoe meter on the rottentomatoes site (75%) and it has a strong B on Yahoo from the critics, so the majority of them went for it.
I heard hit girl is the best thing about the film. I see a golden globe in the future. Well be seeing it soon, along with the losers, which I think is the PG-13 version of this.
And trust me when I say, I didn't/never wanted this to be PG-13, I like ultra violent movies. Is it somewhere similar or better than Shoot'em up?

on the fun ridiculous meter its like shoot'em up....but with a geek in a green outfit (i cant believe he never got called a pickle) getting his ass kicked all the time cuz he doesn't know how to fight, an 11 year old girl killing people mercilessly and a guy dressed as batman without the ears non chalantly blowing shit up (and he acts like adam west)

There's a lot of controversy over the "cunt" line Hit-Girl utters in the movie. I applaud Vaughn for leaving that line in, as it's taken straight out the comic series.

Saw it three nights ago, I fuckin' loved it, Hit Girl was awesome, Kick-Ass was badass, Big Daddy and Fuckin' Nick Cage he really gave a crap about the character this time...I must now go find the comics and collect them...along with Evil Ernie...I need to take my bro to see this.
