i didn't like the remake tbh. IMO It was so "oh ill just go myself and look for..." then ten min later " hey jimmys not back yet, ill go by myself look for him" and so on and so on..

I know but the original had some pretty good scares. That Kevin Bacon one still sticks with me! I suppose in a way it is a remake so people expected him to pop back up at the end etc and obv they went down the line where it was actually him in this one but i dunno maybe i just dont like that sort of horror where you see the scares coming.

ive only seen like 2 of the original F13THS and they wernt great. i wouldnt however say i disliked that high perecentage level. I liked Halloween for e.g. that really scared me. Some may say you saw the scares coming with that one, but i did jump a few times. What one sees as a scare coming, another might not.Another one i had disagreements with was Drag me to Hell which scared the heck outta me in the cinema, jumped quite a lot, and ive heard people say that in that film all the scares are obvious because they are built up with the music score. I dunno i think i just dont explain myself well today!!

I've been thinking about it. to say the name Jason Voorhees is gone forever? I wouldn't really say that. Its like saying Godzilla Final Wars will be the last Godzilla movie ever made (riiiiiight) but to not make a sequal to the biggest grossing weekend horror movie ever? I mean wow.
