Is your family into horror movies too?

I'm definitely the black sheep of my family. They're all bible loving Mormons and I practically worship the devil. My family won't even watch R rated movies let alone Horror movies. I find my family weird and pray to Michael Myers himself that I am adopted. I remember watching Ernest Scared Stupid when I was a kid and my brother damn near pissed himself with fear. Is everyone else's family into horror or just you?

My mother and sister both love horror. Mom actually brought us up on it.

I'm the only true horror fan in my family. My parents will watch some films and then ask if I've seen them and we'll discuss them sometimes, but they don't watch too many. My sister will always come to me about horror movies and whether or not she should watch it or skip it. Oddly enough my grandpa asks me about good ones, but I try to ease him into them since I don't want to end up giving him a heart attack.

I grew up with horror thanks to my mom. She used to watch all the 80's classics back when I was a wee youngin'. Bringing up my boys the same way

My dad, God bless his soul, was the one who sorta introduced me to horror with monster movies. I was watching those in lieu of the Disney classics. I don't think I saw "Snow White" until I was in sixth or seventh grade, and I've never seen "Bambi". But apart from awesome monster movies, he wasn't much of one.

My mom will occasionally watch a horror movie, but she usually asks me first for a synopsis to figure out whether or not she can handle it. And half the time she shields her eyes.

My sister hates them. But I know she'll agree to watch them like, when she's with her friends. She has awful taste in movies in general, so I can only imagine what mainstream PG-13 trash she has seen.

As far as I know, my half-brother isn't that into them either.

minus the sister this is how my family is...dad can watch it and laugh at it...moms def raised me on horror...she use to say.."this is to scary i can't watch this" then she would come and get me to watch it with her Freddy and Jason pratically read me my bedtime stories!

My dad does watch some horror movies with me. He likes Freddy Krueger and Pinhead. He laughs at almost every line they spew out of their mouths.

It was my Dad who got me into horror about the age of 7 with the likes of Dawn Of The Dead, The Burning, Halloween, Friday The 13th etc , my mam likes horror too but not as much as me, siblings dont like it

My mom hates horror and my dad is impartial. He used to be a big comic book collector and is more into sci-fi so I definitely had a strong sci-fi influence growing up which I evolved into my own taste for horror with the help of tv programming like USA Up All Night, Monstervision, etc.

My father took her to see District 9 in the theatre and I don't think she'll ever let him live that down lol, the gore freaked her out. I tried to explain to her how over the top the gore was and how that sort of makes it more comical than gross but she wasn't buying it.

My parents were big Romero fans so we'd watch alot of his films. They'd go into some mainstream horror too.
My father went alittle further into underground horror which was a nice surprise. We watched The Gateway Meat and he really liked what he saw.
All in all my family digs all kinds of cinema, but when it come to the extreme, I'm on my own.

My parents used to "kinda" like horror back in the day but my dad has evolved to the SyFy channel......but I am the the freak of the family when it goes to horror

My grandmother is who got me into horror, when she babysat us, she used to watch horror with us all the time. My brothers enjoy a horror movie every now and then but my parent's couldn't care less.

My sister and I always watched them as kids. Now my wife enjoys them (not as much as I) and my step daughter (18) likes the IDEA of them. She can watch them so long as there aren't creepy kids. For some reason, that's her limit.
