Tim Burton to adapt the board game "MONSTERACALYPSE"

Tim Burton has a lot going on these days, maybe something original will actually make it to the big screen? Deadline is reporting that the Gothic director is now in talks to play "creative catalyst" on DreamWorks' newly acquired Monsterpocalypse, a kaiju-themed collectible miniatures game. It's a board game that involves battles against a variety of enemy monsters that take place in a metropolis filled with buildings. Funny how there were two Jumanji-esque horror films released this year -- and now this. Anyways, talks are early stage, and right now only game creator Matt Wilson is attached to be co-producer.

Don't know much about it myself, but it's a figure table-top game. Like Warhammer 40,000, you have to buy the figures and the pieces in packs and usually paint them but I don't know if that's the case here. Usually there different groupes or alliances or corralitions and it's often dice driven, with cards and everything. My cousin and I have played Warhammer and World of Warcraft and they're both fun. Now that I know of this, I need to talk to him and we need to look into this.

Yea, I tried Bloody Disgusting and I hated it and didn't care for the people on there. So I did a instant heel turn on them lol. This syte is better and you guys are way cooler.

And I never heard of that game either, maybe AVGN will review it and I could have a better idea how it works.

the game looks cool, although if you wanna buy extra monsters you gotta buy those boxes that don't show you what your buying. So you just gotta hope for the best, very gay. A lot of table top game makers are A holes that way. But the game looks fun, and I cant wait for the movie. I'd give anything with giant monsters a shot.

F B-D and F Tim Burton, I honestly haven't liked any of his films in the last 10 years. I'm sick of seeing Depp and his wife in EVERY movie, IF he breaks that chain with this movie, and that's a big IF, then I may check it out.

NOt heard of the game, but am a HUGE depp/burton fan.So fucking what if he casts the missus in the movie AGAIN, maybe he'll have sense and get her eaten in the first ten minutes of the movie so we don't have to look at her wide screen forehead for every scene she's in...

I am also a fan of Burton, I like Depp in his movies, and I can tolerate his wife. So I am ok with this.
