BAH! Movie wasn't all that great. Definitely had some cool scenes and characters, but there's so much that was lacking.

Not that it's a big deal, but they didn't offer any sort of explanation as to why these people are turning to zombies. Normally we don't get a straight-forward explanation anyway, but we do get clues here and there that let us come up with our own conclusions. No such thing here. They simply turn, end of story.

Biggest issues I had with the flick was the lack of tension or claustrophobia. Taking place primarily in an apartment building you'd expect there to be a sense of claustrophobia, a sense of no escape (I.E. [Rec]), but we don't really get that here. In fact, there are quite a few relaxed scenes where character roam the hallways and only encounter a few zombies. Where's the terror?

Of course there's an explanation as to the lack of zombies in the building, but giving these characters so many opportunities to relax and talk is not something I want to see in a movie like this.

I need to let the film sit for a while before I do a review, but right now my impression is mixed, but leaning slightly more towards negative. We'll see how I feel tomorrow after I give more thought to what I saw.

Hmmm...as I say over here - opinions are like farts, everyone has them, but not everyone likes other peoples

I was blown away by the film tbh - without going into detail, I did think that it captured tension/claustrophobia very well, some of the scenes are just mind blowing (car roof one for example)...but as I said, each to their own.....I'm going to watch it again tonight and see if my initial thoughts are the same .

The sounds effects are pretty amateurish, as is a lot of the action.

They made an entertaining movie then fucked it all up at the end, what a bunch of amateur assholes. France sucks!
