Same here. It was interesting to at least understand the philosophy about it a little more. It was also kind of refreshing to see that kind of "anyone can succeed" mentality - especially at that extreme.

Still not interested in watching the movies. But the goings-on outside the movies are getting more interesting to witness.

Nice to know it wasn't just some trash BS that was thrown together to make Gore-Whores wet themselves... I won't watch the flicks either, but I do have respect for the guy doing his thing and getting it done. I am wondering about the couple of flicks mentioned that are not going to be "Vomit-Gore" as stated in the interview. wondering what kind of stuff he can do without the puke.

Well, I am a bit self loathing, buuut - I do not take that out on anything outside of myself. I suppose if that was the case I would hate all things and put everything down just for a slight self gratification to appease my self loathing. But there are many things I enjoy and a few things I adore/love and these things I am more than happy to state it.
Just cuz I'm not fond of me doesn't mean I'm not fond of other things - and if I give something negative criticism it's because I don't like that thing. Like vomit - I do not like it and therefore would no doubt dislike this vomit gore trilogy... because I don't like vomit, not because I don't like me.

cool well THANKS for taking the time to read the interview ! yeah there's definitely many different philosophical ways of thinking about criticism and self-loathing;
i mean a huge part of the enjoyment of making and releasing movies is talking about them in public forums of all kinds and i welcome any and all comments no matter what (and believe me i hear everything imaginable from death-threats to high praise), especially if people absolutely despise me, i find it interesting because it is totally foreign to me and the exact opposite of how i function so i like to try to learn about other people this way -- my view on this is largely based on the fact that i hear people from all over the world every day complain or get upset and spew negativity, in my opinion, because they simply enjoy the act of being negative miserable people because they get a tiny adrenaline rush each and every time they complain about someone else and by displacing and projecting negativity onto someone else they conceptually "strengthen" their own ego and sense of self, while cumulatively over the years racking up thousands of miniscule adrenaline rushes creating a favorite pastime, and therein lies their inadvertent statement of their own self-loathing.
