High Tension or Martyrs

These are two films that I have come to like a lot, rarities, in which you don't watch them no more but like once a twice a year just so they won't get old to you.

So I'm asking you all this, which one of these movies do you consider better?

Personally my favorite, is High Tension, it had a cool twist and some sweet gore. I know a lot of you may not like that but I really couldn't get into Martyrs like I wanted to. Sorry.

high tension i think, granted they are both pretty damn good.

Martyrs is the better film by quite a bit but, I like High Tension more. HT is a dark slasher whereas Martyrs borders on being outright Evil.

Too many torture flix out there. Not big on the torture films.

High Tension is a much more entertaining film that I can watch at any giving time. Martyrs is still a fantastic flick I just have to be in a mood to watch it.

Close call on this one....Martyrs, though a better choice would have between Martyrs and Frontieres.

I was thinking about frontier(s) but I don't think it's better than high tension or Martyrs for that matter, considering the fact that Martyrs and Frontier(s) share one similarity: Their both films that we have seen a lot of times within their genre (torture film)

I will be making another one of these surrounding the remakes, not of these but other films.

High Tension, I gotta agree with Doc..you have to be in the mood for Martyrs

It could have been a hell of a choice but "Martyrs" was a fist in my face when I saw it a few months ago. I really like "High tension" especially for the chase part ("the chase is better than the catch" we love you Lemmy) but "Martyrs" is one of my fave movies atm so my vote will go to "Martyrs".

High Tension for me in terms of i enjoyed watching it more, and liked the story more. Martyrs probably left more of a lasting impression on me however...

Well since it was mentioned, id take Frontier(s) over either of them.
But since i have to choose from the list.....Martyrs.
High Tension while a great flick, was just too predictable.

High Tension has more to offer I think. Martyrs just seemed like a one hit wonder. You'll remember it for years after seeing it, and will probably tell people about it, but there was nothing in it that warranted a second or third watching.

martyrs for me ive watched martyrs about 6 times and will probs watch it again soon.

switchblade romance (as it was called over here) was good but once you know the ending it sort of ruined watching it again for me
