HFC Movie 1: Lurkers

Yea, I also didn't care for the characters in this movie, although the mom was creepy lol but didn't get much time. It dragged at times and I started to get bored but it picked up a little when they enter the party, a creepy party with odd people. I did like the music score as well. Overall, I wouldn't rewatch it but it's definetly not the worst I seen.

Can't wait for the next film.

There's actually a decent story here they just don't tell it very well. I did pick up on a great concept that, in the right hands, could make a good movie.

The movie is very dated and it drags and drags and drags. It does pick up a little at the party, but that's a little over an hour into a movie that's only an hour 1/2 long. It is a chore to watch to point where I just let it play and continued surfing the net while I listened to them talk just because I knew there was nothing happening on screen for me to watch.

4/10 for concept alone

Yeah the story, if in better hands, would shine. But alas we get the boring middle chunk. The first scene, and the mother in particular are good. And the end, starting after the sledgehammer kill, are good. But that middle portion sucks. I remember seeing this 15 years ago, as I knew the little girl who plays young Kathy. Anyway, that being said, sorry this was a stinker.... 3/10

I have to agree with all the negative comments here about the bad acting, and the middle dragging on way to long. Not the worst movie I've seen for sure, but still not a great one. 4/10 for me.

sorry im late to the club but I had a hell of a week...thought Lurkers was pretty bland, kinda reminded me of the far superior The Sentinel. I've watched worse movies but yeah the acting was atrocious.
