GI Joe The Rise of Cobra

I just watched this movie on the watch now list from netflix. And its worse than I even thought it was gonna be. I knew Stephen Sommers was the worst director in hollywood but WOW. This movie tried every way in the world to wreck my childhood. The special effects were horrid, and the acting was even worse. What ticked me off is the movie had the balls to be campy like the cartoon and they STILL changed everything! Snake Eyes doesn't talk because of a vow of silence? Please. And don't even get me started on his mask.

"Cobra Commander" or what they tried to pass off as him was extremely stupid, especially in the ending. Their version of Destro was atrocious, the only thing they got right was that he is scottish. And when he speaks as "destro"? That was laughably bad. You know in comedy skits when they get an orange or something and super impose someones mouth on it so it talks, THATS HOW BAD IT LOOKED. The Baroness wasn't even Russian, the troopers didn't look remotely anything like they were supposed to. I could go on and on about how this is the worst movie ive seen in years. And for some reason this movie has a 4 out of 5 on netflix! I gave it a 1, wish I could give it less.

I actually liked it for the most part was somewhat of an guilty pleasure at least for me probably cause i didn't take it seriously at all. I thought that the ninja battle was pretty cool could've been alot better though but the movie was enjoyable for the most part to me.

Guilty pleasure movie for sure. I knew it was gonna be less than spectacular when Tatum and Wayans became attached, so I went expecting cheap cheesiness and really enjoyed it. I own it and still watch it.

It sucks as a G.I. Joe movie but as an action movie its pretty good

I'm all right with it. Some of it was cool, some of it sucked balls with a mouth full of braces... But if taken as just a movie adaptation and also not taken too seriously and expecting the world from the flick it was an ok watch and I'd probably watch it again if it happened to be on. Oh - and snake eyes still kicked ass - hell I only bothered with the movie for him and stormshadow anyway...

I haven't seen it yet and not really looking forward to doing it I have to say. I'm gonna wait to see it on TV if there's nothing better the same day on an other channel of course.
