http://www.collider.com/2010/09/07/b...horror-movies/While it might not quite be Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, Bruce Campbell wants to make an all star horror movie in the vein of The Expendables. The Evil Dead actor spoke to the Los Angeles Times [via Screen Rant] recently and said that he hopes to make a sequel to My Name is Bruce called Bruce vs. Frankenstein and populate it with “so many horror movie stars that people can’t possibly not see the movie.”

Campbell is very busy these days shooting the USA series Burn Notice, so he isn’t sure when or if this dream project might take place, but he wants not only to cast as many horror icons as possible, but cast them totally against type. “I want to have Kane Hodder be very particular about what he eats. I want Robert Englund to be a tough guy, like he knows tae kwon do or something,” Campbell said. “I want to find out the hidden sides of all these people. Some will play themselves, some will play alternate characters as well.”
And while that might sound like The Expendables, just with horror icons instead of action icons, Campbell actually likens the idea more to It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. “There’s a script, it just kind of blows right now, so no one’s really seeing it. We gotta work on it,” he said. “Definitely shoot in Oregon all on a stage. It’s like the 300 of horror comedies. We want to make it a whole world. Someone’s gotta take Frank down for good.”
The list of iconic horror actors that could potentially be a part of this is endless and, frankly, most of them don’t have anything better to do. But are horror icons as instantly recognizable as action ones? Do people really recognize Kane Hodder as much as Jason Statham?
Interesting. I'll hold my judgements until it actually moves forward, but it would be interesting depending on who he got on bored for it.
