This list is hard, I "enjoy" a lot of movies. As to whether they are "must see" or not...I don't know. Your preferences really determine what "wows" you. So here is my list:

Cloverfield
Pontypool
Quarantine
Trick 'r Treat
Feast
Insidious
Dead Snow
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale
The Fourth Kind

The last two might not technically count as horror (though I would be willing to argue for Rare Exports). The Fourth Kind is there because it scared the bejeezus out of me. For some reason aliens terrify me.
