Zombie's track record says it will be shit until proven otherwise, in my opinion. Just like The Devils Rejects. A lot of people who praised the film the first thing they raved about was the soundtrack. I don't care if this movie is filmed beautifully it still won't prevent it from being crap if it is crap.

TDR is the only thing I've really liked from RZ. I don't mind his Halloween, but I feel the first 40minutes is utterly retarded.

Something like this will suit his style though, I'm hoping it'll be good, I just hope I'm not let down.

Wow, I'm shocked at the dislike of Zombie films. I saw House of 1000 Corpses at the theater and didn't care for it alot but subsequent viewings have changed my mind. To me House of 1000 gets better every time I see it just like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I liked Devil's Rejects right off the bat. I went to see that and my pops went to see Dukes of Hazzard, lol. I liked the kid version of Michael Myers and thought the adult version and 2nd half of the film was lame. Halloween 2 was just plain bad. I watched some of Superbeasto or whatever it is but just couldn't get into it. I'll damn sure be checking out Lords.

Ho1Kc sucks. But I forgive him for it, being his first film and all. TDR is entertaining and a big step up. I hated the first 40minutes of his Halloween, as he completely destroyed the character. What made Myers so unique that the idea was he was simply, evil impersonated. He didn't need sheer size and brutish qualities to be able to do the things done.

In RZ's words he wanted to make the character "human" so, like most remake he turned him into a hulking giant (much like what was done with Harry Warden). He gave him a background and motive. Which ruins it.

Oh, and in his "humanising" of the character, he enabled him to survive a point blank shot to the head with a hand gun. Nice going there on realism Zombie you hypercritical stool sample.

I'm looking forward to this though.

Bring on Lords of Salem! I love HO1KC, I love TDR, Halloween remake was pretty meh, H2 was fucking dumb though the visuals are really fucking good in that one. El Superbeasto was a good watch if you love adult cartoons which I totally do! And seeing the trailer for LOS it will be good to see RZ doing his own thing again. Suppose when he's just doing his original films they're actually GOOD.

However when they're remakes he probably felt like he'd be a sell-out hack if he just kept doing shot-for-shot remake of the original which I really didn't think he wanted to do nor should he, it's an okay movie on its own, H2 was where he was like "You know what? Fuck you, I'm tired of this remake bullshit!" and just gave up on it. In El Superbeasto there's a sequence where the main character is running his car over Michael Myers, to me that's where RZ was saying he was tired of H-wood forcing him to shoot remakes before he can make his own movies again, seriously fuck the industry.

HO1C kicked ass and was better than TDR. The Halloween movies were terrible. It's time for Zombie to get it back on track. I'm def looking forward to Lords Of Salem.

I have to agree about the suckage. The best of the lot for me is TDR, which to say it is good is a stretch. A movie with gore, quick and jerky camera work, white trash, and rock n' roll does not equate to a good movie. The only time RZ went and tried to do some character development was his Halloween remake and it was someone where their background should be a mystery (Michael Myers).

Any nimrod can set forth to make a brutal movie and try to make it look as though it was filmed by a deft hand. However most of them turn out to be shit such as the examples by Mr. Zombie.
