But yeah its campy and borderline stupid, but was brilliant for the studios and kept the franchise rollin after being near-death.
Besides, it was totally a period flick during that whole horror phase at the moment

Good thread, Jason 6 deserves its own category within the series - it was the first Friday film that had a tongue-in-cheek approach and set out to thrill the fans.
It accomplished that on every level - a super zombie Jason, fit girls, and some of the best death scenes in the series mixed with a rockin soundtrack and a devil-may-care attitude all combine to create one of the funnest horror films ever made. It paid tribute to the legacy of Jason whilst delivering all the thrills and spills the fans expect, without ever desecrating or overstepping the parody intent.
It's my second favourite entry in the series and one of my most viewed horror films.

Yeah, totally the 2nd most atmospheric and aesthetically gothic film in the series.

I prefer C.J. Graham over Kane Hodder. Not a fan of Hodder.
