I was just gonna post on an earlier thread but that ones been closed so I just made a new one cuz I wanted to talk about this movie. I stayed away from Halloween part 3 for many many years cuz everyone said it sucked. I would always say why, and they would always say "cuz michaels not in it". I thought well that doesn't really tell me if the actual movie is good or not so after reading on here how so many people actually liked it I finally gave it a shot and....it was horrible. Not the idea of the movie. But it should have gone a different route.

I mean some dead guy is holding a mask sooo the guy gathers they should go to the factory where the masks are made? bit of a stretch. So the main bad guy apparently owns the whole town, noone questions him and he has robots using a sacraficial alter from stonehenge to make the masks kill the kids wearing them and make bugs and snakes come out of their heads....oooook. And then it turns out his girlfriend was a robot all along and tries to kill him in the end? I hate when they do that. Why not just kill him upfront. Retarded. Well maybe the main bad guy switched them out towards the end I dunno, I really kinda stopped paying attention. The commercial was catchy, but after they played it like 5 times in 10 minutes I started to go a little nuts. Ok I get it already. It was kinda cool to see them have halloween playing on the TV.But all in all this movie dragged on and on.

I wouldn't mind someone remaking this and just calling it Season of the Witch or something. Drop the Halloween 3 part. Instead of having all the kids die for no reason just have them go nuts and start killing there parents or something. And lay off the robots, make them be something else. I know there technically was a reason he was doing it. He hated what halloween had become, but I just think that was dumb. Movie was really boring with not a lot happening, and the death scenes were really bad, cept for the chick that got her face blown apart. This one could do with a redo I think. I know people pretend like saying that is blasphemy, but thats just how I feel.

Ya, I saw this crapy movie in the theater as a young teen. SOOOOO stupid lol. I can get past a lot of dumb plot points, but the whole thing about computer chips in the masks making spiders and snakes come out of your head is impossible to get past. I mean, where did the snakes and bugs come from? Are they in our heads already? Are they in the masks? Totally ridiculous!

I always thought along the lines of what you said, that the movie could be decent if the masks like fried their brains and turned them into zombies or murders like Michael Myers or even just killed them. But spiders & snakes? WHO THOUGHT OF THAT CRAP?!? It almost seems like they were in a board meeting and whoever was in charge of the production had a different idea, then someone of higher authority said NO, NO, THATS NO GOOD. HOW ABOUT BUGS AND SNAKES COME OUT OF THEIR HEADS? KIDS LIKE BUGS AND SNAKES!

I rewatched this movie a few months ago with my daughter just for a laugh, and she sang that damn song for days after lol.

All the points about the rocks and computer chips in the masks, are valid. The whole magic makes people heads actually turn into pumpkins and witches is also another big :lol2:

Not an all time classic but at least it's not a fucking brainless remake of John Carpenter's Halloween. I've bought it on DVD some time ago. Worth a try for brave people.

I did enjoy this. As others said it gets most of it's bad rep from not really being a "Halloween" film. It is fun movie.

Every time I try to watch it again I fall asleep. I didn't like it. It's just stupid. Maybe if I could ever sit through it again my opinion will change, but I'm obviously falling asleep for a reason.

H3 is a bit of a mess near the end but with its creepy music, great characters and funny and quotable dialogue, I cant help not love this movie.

Decent flick I pretty much grew up with it and watched 1 and 2 as well as a kid on Halloween growing up.
