Watched this , this morning with K.I.N.G. Yeah it was great...brutal and very violent. Great beating scenes..fuck. Blood was fantastic..wow. Beautiful music. It was a nice film to look at. I think though I liked A Bittersweet Life alittle better. It effected me hours after I viewed it....but I Saw The Devil was awesome. 8/10

It's far from Kim Ji-Woon's best film FrighT, still a great watch and an excellent movie. This was an 8/10, so that says a lot about the quality of the directors body of work. A Bittersweet Life & The Good, The Bad, The Weird are still far superior films in terms of quality and entertainment value for that lingering effect after the movie is done. This film has some really nice camera work, like the rotating taxi stabbing scene, plus the overall cinematography and feel to the film is top notch. The actors were great as usual, it's always a pleasure to see Choi Min-Sik being psychotic, and of course Lee Byung-Hun. Music was perfect, just as you'd expect from the Koreans, their soundtracks are always breathtaking. And yes, brutal as hell, lots of nice blood, body parts, broken bones, they always know how to please us with their ultra-violence.
