Thank you! I used the most random household stuff, the only things really had to buy was the latex and caro syrup, otherwise it was all stuff out of my kitchen and sock drawer

ROFL go me!!!! I thought I was just an asshole with a handycam! I actualy tried to find local funding to get some better equipment and do a real shoot for one of my excessively campy and over-the-top scripts, but... meh... never panned out. I was thinking, come spring I'd take another crack at it-

Fuckin' cool

Nice moments but PLEASE no more shitty music! This kind of music doesn't suit/fit with the images. Sounds like The Offspring or at least their singer's voice. Whether it's them or not, don't use this kind of music on a zombie thing.

Actually.... it's called Psychobilly- there is a vast world of difference from the singer's vocals to the very core sound of the instrumentals between Stellar Corpses and the offspring (I'll just assume you don't know much about it, so...) here's a little musical genre education for you- Psychobilly is a horror-based genre of music that is the fusion of american rockabilly and oldschool punk. The majority of the genre utilized Horror in lyrical and visual presentation- especially this band in particular, who I have had the pleasure of working with in the past.
On that note, while I do appreciate the fragment compliment regarding nice "moments"- I'll continue, in any future endeavors- with whichever bands I work with, to do as I please or as I'm requested to, as I was with this band.
With that, though your opinion is appreciated, I cannot right now entertain it. Any further complaints, please forward directly to the toilet and remeber to wipe the seat and flush.

Looks like you feel offended... Not my intent, just givin my two cents.
As for the music, I consider some styles as incompatible with horror movies. Piano, violins and cellos are the best instruments to set up a mood in a horror movie.
Same goes for other kind of movies. Some people wanted Peter Jackson to use Summoning's music for the Lord of the rings trilogy which doesn't make sense as they use electric guitars (and keyboards) and as eletric guitars have nothing to do with heroic fantasy's soundtrack.
As written above, there are cool/interesting moments in this short and I enjoyed them. But feel free to do whatever you want to with my post...

Ahhh, I feel you now- Don't get me wrong, I do well with general criticism, but the edge my side comes from is more of the retro americana of horror pop-culture. I wasn;t going for mood setting per-say, when I scored another version of the short my soundtrack itself was more along the lines of ambient noise- it was actually tapping and shredding to a loose rhythm and silence.
However, in a situation like that, where I'm using it for horror rock, it meshes well because Im not using said imagery to instill a feeling of dread or darkness.

If only the funding had been there- it was all shot on a sony handycam!
I'd like to shoot a featurette of it and expand if I can drum up some backing, the whole thing cost me under $100- but a lot of man-hours and volunteers

Hahahaha the music isn't that bad, he shoulda ripped one of the kicking tracks from the Return of the Living Dead soundtrack. It would have been instantly identifiable, and an upgrade.
You should get acquainted with Sony Vegas if your gonna do your own videos..

Eh I was just playing with premiere, I put the footage together for a buddy's band to use as a promo- I wouldn't mind at some point cleaning it up and recycling it for something more entertaining- However... I wouldnt be surprised to catch a PARTYTIME remix up sometime in the near future

I have been playing with Vegas on the pure editorial side of film making. Really sweet program that i'm just learning how to use. Been playing with a few different things, blending of Audio tracks, editing of songs, video transitions, composites, etc..
Below is my recent project, that's still a work in progress.. I will end up adding more of the series into it, and hopefully have it finalized sometime next week. Unless I wanna re-cut some of it and resynchronize audio for a tighter fight...
(perhaps i'll d/l, re-cut, and re-score your project with GOOD music*
Just Messing with yah
