Well if your going to keep ghostbusters the you'd better add peewees big adventure because large marge scared the shit out of me when I was a kid way more than ghostbusters ever did. People are always going to question and make comments when you do a list as such.

I know it's completely difficult to say which films are or aren't horror... my opinion is if you feel it's horror, it's horror... if someone else feels it isn't.. then it isn't...

I like to include borderline films...
I've actually been tempred to include The Terminator in the ratings simply because it is a pretty scary movie... There is the scifi horror genre like Alien, Feast and stuff... but is Terminator allowed to be there? dunno

lol and i'm not saying you're wrong ... but i'm not wrong either... i've seen plenty of top horror lists that have had ghostbusters in it... lots of people aren't comfortable listing it as horror and that's cool... but I'm just personally not comfortable only calling it a comedy... if it helps... on the criteria for how scary it is .. it didn't score so well

Here's where I think you are going wrong, you are trying to statistically "prove" what movies are better than others but the problem with the whole concept is that films are an art, not a science, also your criteria favors slashers and just because a movie spawns a sequel doesn't mean it was good...it means the movie was a financial success in most cases

financial success is one aspect of what makes a movie good... the thing about the sequels is... if the sequels suck, it's still going to get a bad grade, and if the movie sucks anyway, it will get bad scores in every other part ... i'm not sure how I am really favoring slashers... I wouldn't have that many points for story and atmosphere if i favored slashers.. it would all be style of kill, effects and titty shots

also, I understand the problem with statistically grading movies.. but i'm trying to do a huge list... so it just not possible to grade them another way without using numbers
