Horrible horrible series...I hated it - but a lot over here loved it.

My advice would be check the UK version out, as very rarely, UK programmes make the move to a US one successfully - The Office

If you check it out look for hottie Emmy Rossum's topless sex scene never thought she would do something like that considering her previous film roles etc.

Series 8 has just started here in UK. I'm a big fan of the UK series so was not looking forward to a US version. I watched it anyway and it was just about ok. The storyline and script is identical so it was nice looking back to where it all started - it's changed a lot since the beginning.

Love the UK series. A US series is stupid, but then I saw William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher, that changes things. I'll give it a view.

I've got it DVR'd Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy convinced me enough to watch at least the first few eps.

I haven't seen the UK series, but so far this remake is doing good IMO. I like it alot.

Finished off the first season of the US version -- really liked it. Some good minor bits of drama, but more importantly it has some great characters and comedic bits. Lookin' forward to seeing season 2 when it airs next year. In the mean time, I'm gonna check out some of the UK series to see how I like that. From what I've heard it isn't much different than the US one, but I may end up liking the actors/characters better or worse, guess we'll see

I just watched the pilot...I'm hooked. Just borrowed the rest of the first season from my buddy.

Also caught the last ep (the one where Frank robs the engagement ring)....show is fuckin' funny. Love the writing and the acting. Can't wait to catch up.
